MAM · Shenzhen · zippers & closures since 1991Seven series.
Every closure.
Metal, coil and moulded — across seven engineered series, from jewellery-grade luxury to water-repellent technical. The YRX Green Series — nylon, plastic and metal — has used recycled polyester from post-consumer bottles since 2015.

Scope note — the Delicato series is for bags and small leather goods, not luggage. The Zellix series was previously catalogued as Excelsia. Sizes run #3 and #5 for apparel, internal pockets and wallets; #5 and #8 for bag openings and premium luggage; #10 for heavy luggage and statement closures.
Colour is the brand's affirmation.
MAM keeps a comprehensive colour library for clients to match against, and develops custom colour where the library doesn't hold the shade. Metal finishing runs from antique through to current-season. The Diamond Series — premium metal, symmetrical dense teeth — is catalogued in eighteen finishes, shown here on black tape.

Sealed against the weather.
TPU-laminated tapes in a tightly sealed construction block moisture while keeping high strength, smooth slide and two-way function under load. Suited to bags, footwear and outdoor gear — and to ski and down jackets, nautical and diving suits, raincoats, tents, waterproof shoes and firefighting kit.
Laminated tapes are catalogued as MAM-ZTFJ and MAM-ZPFJ references, matt or shiny, dyed-to-match or black. Slider bodies for the range are listed in the next section.

Eight standard references; custom widths and dyed-to-match shades on request.
The chain is half the specification.
Zipper types, colours and styles are diverse — a slider is chosen not only to match the chain size but for its function and its shape. MAM catalogues slider bodies by material, and any body can carry a bespoke puller.
N001 – N012. Twelve bodies for coil and water-repellent chain. Non-lock, auto-lock and semi-lock function.
P001 – P004. Moulded bodies for the Plastic series — burr-free, running in either direction, available in a metallic finish.
M001 – M006. Die-cast bodies for Advanced, Diamond, Zellix and Delicato — the range where a custom puller shape, engraving or logo is usually specified.
Finishes on the hardware
Sliders and pullers carry a wider finish range than the teeth — shiny, matt, brushed and pearl variants of each metal, plus the black, coffee and brown families. A puller can be finished to contrast with the teeth deliberately, or matched exactly.

Brushed and pearl finishes read very differently in the hand — always sign off on a physical slider.
Where the slider has to stop.
MAM's zipper-chain slider stop was developed to comply with European Union requirements — six catalogued types in #3 through #10, specified with the chain size rather than improvised on the assembly line. Top and bottom stops, and box stops for open-end constructions.
The stop is the part that fails first when it is chosen loosely: a slider that overruns damages the tape end and the article is rejected at final QC.

Sizes #3 · #4 · #5 · #7 · #8 · #10 — shown in silver, gold and gunmetal.

Type and size are confirmed against your chain and slider body at sampling; all types comply with EU requirements.
A family-owned zipper house.
MAM is a family-owned manufacturer with 34+ years and two generations of leadership — precision-manufactured in Shenzhen with Swiss CNC tooling. Hand-finished pulls. Plated metals that don't dull. Tapes dyed to Pantone match. Custom logos on the slider, custom shapes on the pull.
It's a closure, but it's also jewellery. And in a premium handbag, it's the piece the customer engages with every single day.

Everything on the zipper, made in one house.
MAM makes the whole article — zip-tape webbing, dyeing, teeth assembly, die casting, over-injection and surface treatment — on patented key technology, high-precision machines and tailor-made tooling, jigs and fixtures. Nothing critical is bought in.

5% of annual turnover reinvested in R&D, with a team of more than fifty technicians and a portfolio of patents on both products and MAM's own tailor-made equipment.
New technologies, product lines, colours and materials are developed to a client's exact requirement.

Songbai Industrial Park, Baoan District, Shenzhen. Every inch of the chain is made in-house so tolerances hold across the length of the zipper.
Obsessive on detail: die casting, over-injection and surface treatment under one roof.

An in-house laboratory with current testing equipment, backed by a complete set of global quality systems and third-party certificates supplied per article.
Cycle, pull and salt-spray data available for brand RSL and QA files.
Dye-to-match, moulds, 3D before tooling.

MAM's own dyeing house matches your exact colour under a specified light source, using high-quality dyes and a spectrophotometer-based matching system — so colour is measured and communicated digitally, not argued over sample cards.
Standardised production is also supported: any industry colour-card standard, or MAM's own colour card.

An in-house mould department, so bespoke pull and slider tooling stays under MAM's control.
3D design and printing is offered upstream of tooling, so a custom pull can be held in the hand before a die is cut.
Recycled polyester, as the standard.
MAM uses recycled polyester for its zip tapes as standard — recycled by default, not offered as an upcharge option. The Green Series runs across nylon, plastic and metal.
For its tape range MAM also offers GOTS-certified organic cotton, and treats environmental sustainability as a condition of technical development rather than a marketing line.
| Tapes | Recycled polyester · GOTS-certified organic cotton |
| Across | Nylon · plastic · metal |
| Certified | Global Recycled Standard · GOTS cotton |
Global Recycled Standard — the recycled content of the tape is verified through the supply chain, and certification is issued per article for your own compliance file.
Bottles into zipper tape.
The process that turns used plastic into zipper tape: recyclable plastic is collected and flaked; the flake is reprocessed into chips; chips are extruded into recycled polyester; the polyester is woven into zipper tape — and the finished product carries Global Recycled Standard certification.

A closure that lasts the bag.
Hand-finished pulls
Each pull is hand-finished — no flash lines, no pad-print smudges. The detail customers notice.
Cycle-tested
Tested to thousands of open/close cycles. The slider doesn't fatigue, the teeth don't separate.
Logos, shapes, colours
Custom slider logos, bespoke pull shapes, Pantone-matched tape — MAM treats the zipper as a brand surface.
Brand-aligned
Nickel-free options. REACH-compliant plating. Documentation per article.
Every product is tested against requirement before it ships — MAM's in-house laboratory runs the current test equipment on chain, slider and tape, so cycle, pull-strength and colour-fastness data comes with the article rather than on request.
A complete set of global quality systems, with certificates issued per article and available for brand QA and RSL files. Patented key technology on both product and equipment underwrites the tolerances.
