Four operations, one code. Belts, bags, wallets and uppers. A high-productivity multi-use adhesive for factories that would rather stock one drum than four.

Ecostick® is Intercom's water-based adhesive range, and it resolves into three families: polychloroprene for contact bonding, polyurethane for structural bonding, and a chloroprene-free pair for restricted-substance lists that exclude it. Choose the family and the range collapses to a handful of codes. All solvent-free, all REACH compliant, all calibrated to run through Intercom's own spray equipment and tested together in the Florence lab before either leaves the building.

Solid content vs. solvent contact cement — less adhesive per bond
Contact, structural, or chloroprene-free. That single decision narrows the whole range to a handful of codes — and it is the decision your bond, not your product, dictates.

The contact range. High tack the moment the faces meet, long open time, non-flammable, and a viscosity band written for spray. Coupling, folding, lining, belts, insole bandaging, lasting.

The structural range. Encapsulated activator, reactivated at the press. Highest final hold, highest temperature resistance, highest oil and grease resistance in the range — sole attachment and anything under load.

For a restricted-substance list that excludes chloroprene. 1816B cures cold with no reactivation heat and exceptional yellowing resistance; 9010 covers general coupling and folding.
Whichever code you order, these are constant across the range. They are the reason a European buyer accepts the bond and an operator can stand at the bench all day without a respirator.
Every component conforms to EU REACH Regulation (EC 1907/2006) and to international hazard and safety standards.
No solvents, no harmful fumes, no occupational-health liability at the bench.
Removes the fire and storage risk that comes built into solvent contact cements.
Hypoallergenic chemistry — safe for prolonged, repeated operator contact.
Lowest levels available in the category; several codes at 0% VOC.
Highly stabilised against ageing — critical on white, cream and pastel leathers.
High humidity and hydrolysis resistance — survives monsoon storage and container transit.
Initial grip strong enough to bond from a single coated face where the operation allows it.
Filtered to eliminate lump formation — consistent sprayability, batch after batch.
Stays on the surface instead of soaking in. Works equally on porous, thin and difficult leathers.
Roughly three times the solids of solvent contact cement: less adhesive per bond, faster drying.
Buy in volume and use at your own pace — extended security beyond the purchase date.
Water-based polychloroprene: high tack the moment the faces meet, non-flammable, long open time, and a viscosity band written for spray. This is the bulk of the Ecostick® range and the bulk of what a leather-goods floor actually buys in drums — coupling, folding, lining, belts, insole bandaging, shoe lasting.

Four operations, one code. Belts, bags, wallets and uppers. A high-productivity multi-use adhesive for factories that would rather stock one drum than four.

Alongside 5019N. Belts, uppers, bags and wallets — a parallel formulation with a different balance of tack and set. Which one fits depends on your materials and your spray device.

Leather and fabric, one pass. Coupling and folding across leather and woven or nonwoven fabric in the same operation — no code change mid-assembly.

Strong initial grip. Bags, wallets and orthopaedic soles. Built for the precision demands of small leather goods, where a piece must stay exactly where the operator placed it.

9000-series premium. Belts, uppers, bags and wallets — part of the premium leather-goods block of the range, specified where the finished article carries a European label.

Fabrics, linings, synthetic leather. Coupling and folding on non-leather substrates — engineered for the different surface energy of coated and synthetic faces. Also the garment code.

Heels and insoles. Engineered for the high shear load of heel attachment and for the surface chemistry of orthopaedic sole and insole materials.

Structured body. ST is strutturato — a heavier body for applications that need gap-fill. Leather and fabrics for belts and bags, and heels where the joint is not perfectly flat.

The synthetics primary. Synthetic leathers, fabrics and linings across bags, shoes and garments — the first code to try on any PU or PVC-faced material.

Structured. The strutturato variant of 9015 — a heavier body for structured fabrics and for joints that need the adhesive to hold its own shape while it sets.

High viscosity. Stays on the surface even on the most difficult leather topographies. It does not penetrate — which makes it the answer for very thin, very soft or very porous material that other adhesives strike through.

Finished-product bonding. Bags, belts and wallets. High-performance, clean at the edge, no yellowing — the code for the last bonds before the article goes to inspection.

The everyday volume code. General-purpose ecological adhesive for leather goods — the drum that sits on the floor of a mixed factory running many product types at once.
Compatible with the natural latex and neoprene adhesives already in use on most Indian leather-goods lines — which means Ecostick® can be introduced one operation at a time rather than as a plant-wide switch.
Reactive polyurethane with an encapsulated activator that comes into play at reactivation. The highest final hold, the highest temperature resistance and the highest resistance to oils and greases in the range — the chemistry for sole attachment and for any joint that has to survive load rather than handling.

The workhorse. High-strength permanent bond for coupling and folding leather, hybrid leather, regenerated leather, fabrics, canvas and cardboard. Performs on oily leather up to 15% grease content, and holds on no-stitch applications. Open time around four hours.

General footwear. Leather and fabrics in the shoe-construction context — designed for the structural demands and the multiple substrates of an upper assembly.

Straight leather gluing. A single-purpose leather-to-leather adhesive for factories that want one simple code on the shelf for the commonest job on the floor.

The multi-material one. Leather, fabrics, linings and cardboard in one formulation — the broadest substrate range in the family. Also the code used for packaging, cases and albums.

The tuned variant. Coupling and folding leather where 1816B needs optimisation — specific tannages, specific finishes, specific thicknesses. Send us the hide and we will tell you which of the two.

Sole to upper. The primary adhesive for the critical sole-attachment step. Single-component, ready to use — no hardener, no mixing window, no wasted pot life.

Sole bonding, S variant. Optimised for specific sole materials and bonding geometries where 1820 needs adjusting — rubber, EVA and polyurethane units in particular.

Current generation. Reformulated coupling-and-folding adhesive — the modern replacement for the classic leather-folding codes, with the same handling and improved ageing behaviour.
Some restricted-substance lists exclude chloroprene outright. Two codes answer that requirement without giving up the bond — 1816B, a polyurethane that cures cold with no reactivation heat and exceptional yellowing resistance, and 9010 for general coupling and folding work.

Leather and fabrics. Coupling and folding with high compatibility across both natural and synthetic leather surfaces — the code to reach for when a single product mixes the two.

Leather and fabrics, general. Versatile across material types — the code for products where leather and fabric appear together and neither substrate should dictate the adhesive.
European and American buyers increasingly require restricted-substance documentation before they place the order, not after. Every Ecostick® shipment can travel with it.
"Introduce water-based bonding technologies to the market to replace solvent-based adhesives, with resulting benefits for health, environment and worker safety."

| Not sure | Send your material spec — we will match the code and the machine together. |
Codes are matched to the spray device, not only to the material. The same leather sprayed through an S8 and an S4 wants a different viscosity — which is why we always spec adhesive and machine in one conversation.See the machine range →
Tell us what you are bonding — both substrates, the operation and your current adhesive. We will name the Ecostick® codes worth trialling, send samples, and put a technician on the call when you are ready to test.
