Precision machines
for precision gluing.
Intercom does not sell a spray gun and wish you luck. Every machine in the range is calibrated to the viscosity of the Ecostick® adhesive it will run — ten manual machines, three conveyor systems for full gluing, and four Polifemo 4.0 sensing machines for edge gluing. Height-adjustable, modular, built to your specification.
Application efficiency of a calibrated spray vs. hand brushing
Maintenance on the manual bench range
Every bench made to the client's work height and floor layout
Three families.
Start with yours.
Edge gluing, full gluing, or an operator at a bench — the three families answer three different questions on a factory floor. Pick yours and seventeen machines collapse to a handful. Guns, presses and accessories are further down, under other machines.

Polifemo 4.0
sensing, for edge gluing
The machine reads the piece and glues only its edge. Pallets move under a programmable sensing spray head — no masking, no operator judgement, no adhesive where it is not wanted.

Conveyor belt system
for full gluing
Whole-surface application. Pieces enter one end of a chain conveyor, are sprayed across their full face, and leave dry — the dryer is built into the run.

Manual machines
An operator at an aspirating bench. One station, one shift, built to your work height. The family most factories start with — and many never leave.
Polifemo 4.0.
It finds the edge itself.
The machine senses the piece and glues only its edge — pallets move under a programmable spray head that follows the profile it reads. No masking, no template, and no adhesive anywhere you did not want it. This is the step change from ten benches to one machine.
When the volume goes up,
the machine takes over.
Ten things Intercom set out to deliver when it engineered its automatic systems — the conveyor belt and the Polifemo 4.0 sensing head alike.
- Higher productivityContinuous conveyor or pallet flow instead of manual batch handling.
- High precisionA programmed spray pattern lays the same film on the thousandth piece as on the first.
- High speedThroughput paced to your line, not to the operator's arm.
- Intuitive interfaceNo specialist operator training required to run or change a programme.
- Extreme flexibilityProgrammable for different product shapes and different bonding areas.
- Easy managementCentrally controlled and monitored, with settings recalled per article.
- Zero downtimeNo stopping the line to re-apply, re-brush or correct a missed area.
- Maximum efficiencyAdhesive goes only where it is needed — no overspray to pay for twice.
- Low running costDesigned for minimum intervention and minimum maintenance spend.
- Minimum impactEcostick® chemistry plus precise application gives the lowest achievable VOC and waste.

All four Polifemo 4.0
sensing machines.
A programmable sensing head reads each piece and applies adhesive to its edge only — no masking, no template. Pallet movement, integrating into a line you already have. Listed from DV6, the highest throughput in the range, down to DV1.

When the bench
is not the answer.
Spot bonding, edge work, repairs, on-site application. Two hand guns, both running the same Ecostick® codes as the benches.

G6.110Trigger gun · 1.2 mm nozzle
A precision trigger gun for controlled spot application and edge bonding on leather and fabric. The 1.2 mm nozzle keeps the pattern tight where a bench fan would be far too generous.

G9 LPJETLow-pressure gun · 1.3 mm nozzle
LPJET technology delivers a wider spray at lower pressure — less bounce-back off the material, less overspray in the air, less adhesive lost. The gun to specify where consumption matters as much as coverage.
What happens
after the spray.
A bond is made by pressure and by drying as much as by adhesive. Three units for the footwear floor.

P300DUpper-lining press · women's last
Closes the lining-to-upper assembly over a women's last form, so the bond sets to the shape of the shoe. Eliminates the creasing in the toe and heel area that a flat press leaves behind.

P300DCPLPress + bench B7 + S8 + CO
The P300D press coupled to a complete I788 spray bench. One station, one operator, both operations — spray the lining and close the assembly without moving the piece to a second machine.

StenditoreGridless spreader & dryer
A gridless spreader and dryer for leather goods and footwear floors. Sprayed pieces are laid out and dried without a grid pattern pressing into the surface. Installs as a standalone station beside the benches.

An Italian machine
with a local engineer.
A spray system that nobody can commission or service is furniture. This is what comes with the machine.
Commissioning at your factory.
Installed, levelled, set to your operators' work height, and run in on your own materials and adhesive codes.
Operator training per shift.
Typically half a day per shift — spray technique, film weight, cleaning, and what a wrong-looking pattern is telling you.
Annual maintenance contracts.
Scheduled visits, filter and wear-part replacement, and calibration checks against the adhesive you are actually running.
Spares held in India.
Fast-moving nozzles, needles, seals and filters in Delhi stock — so a worn part does not become a stopped line.

Price and bench dimensions in millimetres are deliberately not here — both depend on the configuration and your floor layout, and both come back with the quotation.
Not a spray gun.
A workstation.
The Intercom manual machine is three parts engineered as one: an aspirating bench, a spray device matched to the adhesive, and a pressurised container. Take one away and the precision goes with it.
The bench
Banco aspirante. A work surface with built-in suction that pulls both on the work plane and laterally. Overspray is captured before it settles — clean operator air, clean bench, no wasted adhesive on the floor.
The spray device
Mounted on the bench and calibrated to Ecostick® viscosity. S8, S9 and S4 differ in nozzle geometry, flow rate and fan pattern — the device is chosen with the adhesive, not after it.
The container
Contenitore CO. The adhesive reservoir, sealed and pressurised, integrated with the spray device so that flow stays constant from the first piece of the shift to the last.
Modular by design
For large objects — bag bodies, belts, shoulder straps, albums — two bench modules couple together and double the work surface. Every bench is built to the client's specification.
With solvent contact cement, factories typically apply four to five times the adhesive volume actually needed, because a brush cannot be precise. A calibrated spray fires a controlled fan and wets the material exactly to spec — which is where the cost-per-unit saving comes from, even though the drum costs more. Why the machine pays for itself
Three devices.
The choice that matters most.
The bench sets the size of the job. The device sets the quality of the bond. Every model code below is a bench-plus-device combination — the letters tell you which device is fitted.
| Device | Character | Best suited to | Fitted on |
|---|---|---|---|
| S8 | The standard device across the range. Balanced fan pattern and flow for the great majority of leather-goods and footwear operations. | Bags, wallets, belts, uppers · medium-weight leather and synthetics · the default first specification | I288 · I3L88 · I3L88R · I788 · I988 · I1288 · P300DCPL |
| S9 | Different nozzle and flow pattern from the S8 — chosen where leather thickness or adhesive viscosity would force the S8 to be adjusted away from its optimum. | Heavier or thicker leather · higher-viscosity codes such as 9015ST and 9015ST HV · large flat panels | I998 · I1398 |
| S4 | The widest application range of any single device Intercom builds. Also the only device offered without a bench, as a portable unit. | Mixed factories and sample rooms · the broadest code compatibility · retrofitting an existing work surface | I048 (device only) · I3L48R |
